Serves 2
1. Find twig. Char with blow torch and place twig standing upright on cutting board. Place empty bottle over smoking twig. Capture ample amount of smoke in bottle and cap. Discard twig. Give smoke time to breathe and open up.
2. Find two bourbon glasses. Fill each glass one large cube. Rim glasses with orange peel. Drop orange peel and 1 Luxardo Maraschino cherry into each glass.
3. Drop sugar cubes, 2 orange peels and 10 dashes bitters into cocktail mixing glass. Muddle ingredients until fine. Pour bourbon into mixing glass and stir for 10 seconds.
4. Remove cap from smoke filled bottle. Place funnel into bottle and pour in stirred cocktail. Cap bottle and begin to swivel bottle to infuse smoke into cocktail (swivel longer for a more smokey flavor).
5. Pour mixed and smoke infused cocktail into glasses. Serve and enjoy.
Ingredients:
- 4 shots bourbon or rye, preferably bourbon
- 4 slices of orange peel
- 2 demerara sugar cubes
- Locally sourced twig, dry
- 10 dashes of bitters
- 2 Luxardo Maraschino cherries (optional... if it's not a Luxardo cherry, don't bother)
